About time someone looked at AMD's "security". https://amdflaws.com FUD warning though: this isn't some "everyone with an AMD is doomed" scenario. This mostly affects those depending on advanced security features, stuff like fTPM (which was always suspect IMO).

It's super weird that they did the PR well before they plan to disclose... seems risky, as though they didn't provide proofs of concept, their whitepaper might be enough to easily rediscover some of the issues. Page 3 is also weird - how does this make a self driving car unsafe?

The disclosure here seems totally dodgy, yes. These "teams" seem to be more concerned with naming and bragging rights and pushing a FUD narrative than actual security these days. OTOH rumor says AMD knew about some of these for years and never fixed them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
