This whole remote control thing can get really fun. I implemented malloc in python for this once. At one point we were running the PS3's secure isolated BootROM on the real hardware with completely virtualized I/O peripherals implemented on a PC in Python, on unmodified hardware.

But yeah, actually writing inline asm for Python would be interesting. Probably pretty cool for PC exploit development and CPU internals experimentation.

see I want to implement this because I know that with Python's AST and bytecode stuff you could like, write a decorator that magically turns multi-line strings into function calls to a .so compiled on the fly …but that means someone else probably had the same idea already,,
