Has there ever been public RE of the iRobot Roomba? Theres clearly some kind of decision tree mixed with some sort of prng and a point cloud for understanding the shape of your residence, but the actual method for decision making is really hard to deduct from watching it work.

I'm not aware that they're doing any kind of mapping. As far as I know it's all based on a fairly dumb random algorithm and only uses statistics and the most recent segment travelled to figure out what to do next. Also it's written in some variant of LISP.
