Yes, it makes finding bugs easy, but the platform is *old*. If after all this time the collective group of people trying to build jailbreaks haven't found some critical bug in iBoot, they've kind of collectively failed. It's not *that* much code.

Probably not so much that it’s a bootloader but that there’s system architecture stuff in there that Apple never reveals to anyone not-Apple.

Like any leak, it reveals internal proprietary information. That hardly qualifies it as "the biggest leak in history".

Because it's not truly *huge* in the grand scheme of things, and there's a long way between that and the "biggest leak in history". We've seen leaks of BroadOn IOS-derived source code, of the Nintendo 64 GPU verilog, of entire AAA games...
