Can we get some sort of resource guide on where to learn how to do console hacking? I don't know if I'm just looking in the wrong places, but I'm not quite sure where to find info on how to get into hacking
There's no guide. You just have to get involved in generation N and by generation N+1 or N+2 you'll know what you're doing :)
Should I start hacking old hardware first to get a feel for it?
That's up to you. Something like the Wii is probably not a bad idea, if only because it's quite well documented these days.
