Bitcoin consumes 4,000,000,000 W of power to process four transactions per second. A single Raspberry Pi with a database can do an order of magnitude more on 5W. Think about that next time you wonder if it's a good design.

And in absolute terms? As layer two technologies continue to help crypto scale you're on board?
I'm on board whenever an altcoin figures out how to make the cryptocurrency (not "crypto", cryptography is doing fine thank you) concept scale. *Bitcoin* is fundamentally broken. Someone else might solve the problem.
