The only reasonable implementation of untyped array sort is to *do what the comparison operators do*. That's what all versions of Python do (Py3 just doesn't allow comparing disparate types, Py2 does). Javascript does not. That makes *no* sense.
Your view is blurred by the habit of "adult" languages
please do not apply python or other language as a platinum standard to javascript. it just different if it's pain in the ass for you to understand and love javascript features, just use your favorite language and emscripten, or leave front end to those who does
This isn't about some language being a platinum standard, this is about Javascript being a mess. You're making excuses. Some languages features are just stupid and nonsensical. This is one of them. There is *no* rhyme or reason behind having sort behave like this by default.
