That's a different problem - Python 2 allowed comparing disparate types, Python 3 does not. This is a uniform list of integers. No disparate types here.
An integer array is not the same thing as a list of integers. Python has typed arrays too. You do not need a typed array to get sort() to behave sanely in Python. If you think untyped arrays should not be sortable, then they shouldn't have a sort method that *coerces to string*.
