From ~50 hours to rebuild my entire workstation (Ivy Bridge i7-3820QM) to ~14 hours to build all the same 2560 packages on the Threadripper 1950X. Not bad. Should get even faster if I can figure out why Portage doesn't always multithread properly.
I had to press harder than expected to engage one of the retention screws, but other than that it worked fine.

JayzTwoCents seemed to have a serious issue with screw 2. I only had to press down about as hard as he did for 1 (first), but the other two were fine. It seems he had an issue with the 2-3 side, which is also where the damage happened.

I see. Well, it's always good to hear that another person succesfully installed a Threadripper CPU.
