I'm generally very reluctant to block unless someone is being outright abusive, an obvious bot, or does the "pls jailbreak when" thing on an unrelated thread. I don't like people who block over mere differences in opinion or beliefs without an ongoing problem.
I just had a thought though. I don't think this has happened yet (assuming such replies would show up in my mentions), but if someone who follows me harasses someone else through a RT of mine, I would certainly block them.
IOW I/anyone can't stop first offenders from being dicks through a RT, but it seems sensible to contain the damage by blocking after the first instance clear misbehavior.
