You don't have to be an 'artist' to draw anything. I don't consider myself an 'artist', I just follow the algorithm: try(); if not look_better() { discard(); } All my drawings are just asymptots where I couldn't get anything that looks better.
That's pretty much how we built that snowmofurun*. Also laser art. * one of the three people involved was an Actual Artist and I made her do the damn eyes, though, because I was getting nowhere.
