I'm watching my Roomba repeatedly try and fail to dock itself through a webcam while I'm at work. It's been running for over 2 hours now and the battery indicator is rather red. I wonder what happened to the base station...pic.twitter.com/26dStepszr

My old one would sometimes line up with the station but then abort while wiggling forward to it and back up and try again. I often found it blinking and playing its sad song right in front of the station.

Relatives got us one for Christmas. It is literally completely dumb. No capability of tracing the room (which I thought they would have), it has 3 different motions that it randomly alternates between, and can't find the dock a foot away from it.
