I love this version of the future: monitoring our robots via networked cameras while they sadly try to get un-lost in their own home.
My old one would sometimes line up with the station but then abort while wiggling forward to it and back up and try again. I often found it blinking and playing its sad song right in front of the station.
Relatives got us one for Christmas. It is literally completely dumb. No capability of tracing the room (which I thought they would have), it has 3 different motions that it randomly alternates between, and can't find the dock a foot away from it.
