oh wow what I'm doing is actually compliant with ToS: "Subject to applicable copyright, trade secret and other laws, you are permitted under this License to reverse engineer or de-compile the Software [...]" not that it would have stopped me, but it's a nice gesture indeed
I wonder if it would be compliant to write a sufficiently advanced decompiler allowing for source-based patches, then bootstrap an open source ecosystem around it (without ever distributing anything directly derived from the original binary)
