400 words in 2 years... aren't there way more than just 400 words? like, way way more? like... 500,000 or so?

was mostly going off of japanese dictionary numbers for my estimate, but i imagine both of them were pretty far off
There are ~2000 common kanji but there are way, way more words. 200 words in two years is pathetic. Counting the number of words in a language precisely is kind of useless, but the right order of magnitude is tens to hundreds of thousands for pretty much any modern language.
