Ah, during the construction! Nice. I was there during operation, and honestly found the non-LHC experiments more interesting. Less PR bling, more talking to actual scientists. Notoriety winds up dumbing things down.
I was actually there to visit the data center with Intel, the LHC was just icing on the cake.
Oh, this thing? I remember thinking "what a cute little data center". But I was working for Google back then so that may have slightly distorted my perception of computing scale.pic.twitter.com/qc4PhdKJqs
