actually I think I got the order of the arguments on that first command wrong but whatever you know what I mean
Be careful with netcat. I seem to recall it (some version?) having bad flush/end-of-stream behavior sometimes. It sucks when you send a tarball and the last few kilobytes get truncated off. Test first.
I’ve done this before with larger zfs send | zfs recv transmissions without real problem
