What I'm saying is yes, it's expensive, but *so are many other larger cities*. It's not a huge outlier like people make it out to be.
I'm inside the Yamanote, 5 min walk to Chuo-Sobu and Oedo lines, 8min to Fukutoshin and ~10min to Yamanote, in what is widely considered and expensive part of Tokyo, and people say my rent is exoensive. Still was similar in Dublin.
