why is cloud storage so expensive? 1TB for a year, for backup/cold data (meaning very high download fees): Amazon: $48 (Glacier) Google: $84 (Coldline) Backblaze: $60 (B2) shitty USB HDD: $50, x2 for redundancy, but it can last many years tape: like $10, but drive is $1600
20 upgrading to 40 at home too, but I still need a heater in the winter. This is only ~100W.
