      It's convoluted; I'm actually using SSH over 3G but the box default routes over satellite. 3G end to end latency is still ~320ms since I'm on the other side of the world, and installing mosh is next on the TODO list :-)

      How much did the 3G cost you? Around here (USA), tetherable cellular Internet costs about $10/GB.

      I'm not paying for it (in fact possibly nobody is, ISP is involved), but FWIW in Japan $10/month gets you 3GB tetherable data only with 1-month rollover (6GB max). CG-NAT IPv4 and native IPv6. I have a couple SIMs like that for visitors.
