Or, to avoid the "pledge on the 30th for rewards then immediately cancel" situation, charge full price for the first pledge, but *then* charge the prorated remainder on the 1st of the next month.

I honestly don't think that's the case (the "don't give a fuck" part... though I doubt the PayPal part, either, but that's because PayPal ACTUALLY gives no fucks, from what I can tell).
