Turkish Airlines is my new favorite airline. Cheap, almost first-class service in economy, nice selection of movies, no ads in them (!), cheap in-flight WiFi that actually works, power sockets, USB and LAN jacks (!)

This person knows what they're talking about. The good part about IST is that I managed to get myself into a trance-like state by watching the patterns on the floorboards and meditate a bit. The bad part is everything elsehttps://twitter.com/janklausa/status/937655177745780736 …

I traveled via Turkey to Moscow and I work in a SAR of People's Republic of China so your concerns are kind of misplaced

I'm scared of totalitarian governments and refuse to travel to such countries.

I used to fly Turkish, and the IST Star Alliance Gold lounge is very nice (it's more like a multi-floor attraction), but I stopped after Turkey started going seriously downhill. These days I fly Lufthansa or ANA.
