That horrible horrible fucking feeling when you keep changing code and it keeps running the pre-change version and you realize you have no idea whatsoever how to force a recompile
The worst is when you're bisecting/debugging some kind of issue and halfway through you realize the change you just made really isn't there, you haven't been compiling properly or running the wrong binary, and you've just wasted the past hour.
