I just realized Xorg has an off-by-one error indexing the EDID CEA video mode table. Now I'm wondering how nobody has ever noticed their detected monitor/TV modes being out of whack...
Actually, it must be using another EDID parser for the actual xrandr modes (maybe it asks the kernel?). Turns out it prints the broken modelines to the Xorg log but then xrandr shows the right ones. Wonder if there's a setup where it does break...

That’s terrifying. Always have as few implementations of a parser (ESPECIALLY for a binary format) as possible.
