The Twitter character counter got replaced with a little circle thing that counts the characters I've typed. I'd rather have the discrete value so that I could know how much to modify my tweet by in order to fit.
First time I saw it I thought it was a loading indicator (as you used to get when adding images or links, when it has to calculate the impact on character count) that was stuck. Which would be typical for the Twitter app, since it loves to hang on API requests...
