I don't get Intel Turbo Boost. If my laptop's CPU operates at a sustained 3.3GHz with all threads pegged, why didn't they just rate it that?
... which is even higher since it won't bump up against TDP or power limits. Yet they artificially rate the CPU lower.

Lots of talk recently about the MacBookPro specifically not sustaining it due to thermals. Perhaps yours has particularly good thermals?

The haters in those threads wouldn’t believe me that maintaining “turbo” forever is not the design goal. It maintained base clock fine.
