Doesn't work for that. You can't turn a data cable into an OTG cable with this.

The opposite way doesn't work either. OTG cables and regular cables have different ID pin wiring on the microB/TypeC side.

Does the device actually support OTG? Also charging may be different. Definitely won't do data on a OTG device.

That's nonstandard but some devices support charging in OTG mode like this. Point is you can't change modes. No data.
