      Doesn't work for that. You can't turn a data cable into an OTG cable with this.

      really? ive never tried it tbh. i know the opposite way works. in this case yea this is absolutely useless to me.

      The opposite way doesn't work either. OTG cables and regular cables have different ID pin wiring on the microB/TypeC side.

      Does the device actually support OTG? Also charging may be different. Definitely won't do data on a OTG device.

      That's nonstandard but some devices support charging in OTG mode like this. Point is you can't change modes. No data.
