I think these are all Broadcom based switching ICs. It does do L2/L3 modes. Then again every switch seems to run Linux/BSD these days...
There's likely ARM cpu on the switch ic, enough for http/cli/basic reg stuff...; x86 alongside sounds overkill unless for firewall or bgp
Yeah, the switch IC has a dual core Cortex-A9 which I guess they aren't really using for anything.
