TBF, that's not a fair comparison. The Rust example omits a bunch of code (the ... parts) for the different cases.

As someone who likes Rust, I think this is a pretty poor problem to show off Rust. You can make the C version look very similar.

They extracted the fromhex function from the Rust code into it's own function but left it in the C code to look ugly. That I think is unfair
