Agreed; again, I'm not disputing the definite advantage of casting a trans person, just considering the alternative.

The reason I'm bringing this up is I find that a *more interesting* case to discuss; casting trans for trans is obviously correct.
I'm a person who likes to analyze corner cases. Casting trans people for trans roles isn't a corner case, it should be the *normal* case.

Only thing I can think of is pre-transition scenes. But a decent trans actor should be able to handle that better than the other way around.

That's a good point. Assuming most of the movie isn't pre-transition scenes, a trans actor should have a bigger edge there.
