That's my point. If most trans women look like women, then it sounds like casting a cis woman for a trans woman role would be passable.

Though as I said elsewhere in the thread there are obvious advantages to casting a trans woman (life experience).

It'd be closer, sure. But to no advantage, when there's so much good trans talent available.

That I fully agree with. Defaulting to trans makes more sense (though other considerations *could* override).
