In other news, the ffmpeg AAC encoder is *still* a complete disgrace, and you're better off using LAME at 96kbps than ffmpeg-aac at 128kbps.

Dude, if they were inaudible I wouldn't have noticed in the first place. I just ABXed myself with two other piano tracks and 20/20.
Haven't found a non-piano sample yet. But at this point I'm confident ffmpeg-aac has, at least, a general problem encoding piano.
