Indeed, so we agree. And agree that copyright needs to be respected (and, beyond all, it should be respected morally).

The advances that GRSEC/PaX has brought in the field have benefitted more than just Linux. And it could be made OS agnostic.

But again, we dwell into philosophy and miss the point: KSPP has not brought any security advance over grsec -so far-. That's a fact.

And there's nothing wrong with that, except that I don't like the copy-pasting without understanding the code that is going on.

I don't give a damn about people's personal beefs, but I deeply care about giving credit to great technical work. That's not happening today

If you actually dig deeper into the "copyright issues" with KSPP, you'll note that they're nitpicks, legitimate mistakes, or just wrong

Also, if you dig deeper into grsecurity itself, you'll find problems, like lack of changelog attribution for older changes
