yikes, weechat has some quadratic behavior if you have a channel with a large number of users. it’s falling over at only ~4000. ah, C
Channels with ~4000 users work at all? Either it's moderated or not very active. *IRC* has quadratic behavior ;)

it's actually not that active at all, but when the user list is everyone who's ever signed up, it's pretty easy to get to high numbers…
