      I'm talking about a laser *scanner*, with interlocks, placed above eye level, pointing at a wall. Yeah, 1W handheld lasers are stupid.

      Honestly it's a miracle they haven't blinded anyone so far. Those Class IV handheld lasers are a nuisance and a huge danger.

      There has got to be a better and easier way to be permitted the use of laser tech without our crazy long complicated permits.

      Regulations vary greatly by country. You'd think CCC of all places would bend the rules a bit though (as they have years prior).

          Wow, just looked it up and you not only need a permit for class 3R, 3B and 4 lasers, but a pricey qualification certification. Oo
