      I've watched unattended soldering irons roll off tables at the CCC, so I can see the need for more awareness teaching needed, not bans.

      I'm talking about a laser *scanner*, with interlocks, placed above eye level, pointing at a wall. Yeah, 1W handheld lasers are stupid.
