      My DLP blew bulb after 4 yrs - "uh oh.. $350" but due to being 'old' model, bulb+housing on Ebay=$25! A 1080p 3spd DLP 'obsolete'? Whatev!

      I paid 225 bucks for a replacement. There are cheaper generic/non-sanctioned ones, but the reviews are terrible. Don't want to risk it.

      One thing I've noticed on eBay is that all the photos of non-Epson bulbs (even "good" ones e.g. Osram) don't have the topside reflector.

      Next time I might try getting a bare bulb and reusing housing - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Projector-Bare-Bulb-For-Epson-EH-TW3300C-3500C-3600C-3850C-4500-ELPLP49-/191931291829 … looks legit from photos, has reflector.
