Devices are not supposed to draw more than what the charger advertises. Type A devices are not supposed to draw >1.5A.

Sadly many devices just draw more more current until V droops, because that works with "any" charger incl. proprietary Apple crap

The problem is that works with "any" charger except paranoid ones with a hard cutoff like Nintendo's.
