did it end up with forgetting to install bootloader?
No, but it didn't boot after I was done. I can't think of anything I did wrong, I'll find out next month. Was a good test.

The takeover part worked great though. I'm willing to bet it's stuck on some BIOS screen because it's a shitty old server.
