      There's USB Debug Class support but that's not DCI, that's a generic thing an OS can use.

      Yes, but from what I understood it required a special adapter to connect to (it's mandated by MS to be present, though)

      For USB debug class all you need is a crossover cable too, and support in the xHCI (intel hosts have it).

      xHCI debug port enable is usually yet another setting in the BIOS, often hidden (confusingly called xDCI).

      kia @marcan42 @pawel_lasek @alt_kia xDCI doesn't relate to DCI, this is completly unbound technology (See USB OTG in PCH datasheet)

      xDCI bios option has not any effect on DCI DbC

      Because DCI takes precedence. You can't do both xDCI and DCI on the same port.

          So, xDCI doesn't enable debug port for xHCI. It's OTG over USB

          I'm not sure what you're trying to say. @pawel_lasek asked about USB debug class (not DCI). That's xDCI AFAIK.
