      @marcan42 Which chip would you use for a safe IoT project? Requirement: safe:full open source/easy audit-able, WiFi, TLS1.2, >=3 GPIO ports.

      I'm interested in porting Mynewt to the MT7687 and having a full open stack on the user core. WiFi core still needs a blob though

      If you need true blob-less I think right now your only option is a Linux board (not an rPI!) with some Atheros card for WLAN...

      Problem is the WiFi core on the MT has DMA access to RAM, so you have to trust it.

      My goal is a fully open platform in the sense that the blob doesn't get in the way, but I can't prove lack of a backdoor.
