Main goal is to ensure no backdoor and full board being small. Will look at MT7687, thanks!
Problem is the WiFi core on the MT has DMA access to RAM, so you have to trust it.

Hard to say. If you're in the vicinity (radio proximity), I want to say it's likely. Routed from the Internet, less likely.
