Randomly malfunctioning Ctrl keys are frustrating. New laptop keyboard time. And no, Caps Lock is already taken, that's remapped to Compose.

had that problem on an Asus Zenbook. Just needed reconnecting the cable inside.
Been there done that. Even cut the connector back to have the pins make contact with less-damaged trace material.

Messing with the connector tends to fix the problem temporarily, but it comes back.
