      The first bug was defense error, the workaround for it had a human error, triggering defense.

      no, the first problem (not bug per se) was due to gcc internals, the defense itself was fine.

      It's not a GCC bug, it's a problem with the defense making wrong assumptions.

      Papering over the issue with endless kernel patches isn't "dealing with it". Fix the plugin.

      If you can't fix it, stop enabling it by default with no mention of the issues in the kconfig.

          that's not PaX, and it's not default on, see the 'if' part? config_auto is off by default.

          CONFIG_AUTO is supposed to enable sane defaults. This isn't a sane default.
