Do you have Google Backup switched on? They might automatically restore app data on install, even between devices.

No, I don't use that. What seems happened is the fingerprint was cached in the other person's UI. Still confirming.

It seems my fingerprint *did* change, but the LINE client caches it in the UI until you force close the app, making it impossible to verify.

PSA: LINE not only doesn't warn you when a public key changes, it *shows the old fingerprint* until you force close the app.
