I think @line_global @NAVER_LINE_en @LINEjp_official have some explaining to do regarding the security of their "end to end" encryption.

Do you have Google Backup switched on? They might automatically restore app data on install, even between devices.

No, I don't use that. What seems happened is the fingerprint was cached in the other person's UI. Still confirming.

It seems my fingerprint *did* change, but the LINE client caches it in the UI until you force close the app, making it impossible to verify.

PSA: LINE not only doesn't warn you when a public key changes, it *shows the old fingerprint* until you force close the app.
