Would you recommend something else? I need a minimal UI for an initramfs (on Linux/x86), ideally usable from Python.
Googling for a small UI toolkit, stumbled upon PicoGUI... why am I not surprised to see @scanlime wrote it :-)

Something like what TWRP does on android (maybe I should look at their code)... basically for a small recovery tool.
