You should try Lightworks, that is a commercial linux editor.
Finally switching to the Blender VSE for video editing, instead of kdenlive. kdenlive just seems to be eternally buggy.

People always think I'm crazy when I tell them I use Blender VSE. Works great though, esp. if you already know Blender UI.

Yeah, and I'm a fan of the Blender compositor system. Feels like how video pipelines ought to work.
