      @Freerunnering So what? A 4- or 6-digit numeric passcode provides trivially breakable security. Makes little difference in practice.

      @marcan42 you can argue about what use the passcode is but the point stands. What Apple said wasn’t false.

      @Freerunnering "Extracting data" means unlocking the full-disk-encryption layer which otherwise protects the data at rest.

      @Freerunnering You can argue about semantics, but Apple broke protection for law enforcement, which is what they're being asked for again.
