@Freerunnering "Extracting data" means unlocking the full-disk-encryption layer which otherwise protects the data at rest.

@Freerunnering Yes it did. iPhones have hade FDE since the iPhone 3GS. iOS 8/7 just *double* encrypt user data files with their passcode.
