@marcan42 AIUI they have extracted data through iCloud backups from a device, not directly attacked a device in the past -
@littlesteve They did extract data from devices in the past, not only from iCloud. At least that's my understanding.

@marcan42 They never unlocked them previously, but they did extract all data. Only difference was that then data was mostly unencrypted. -
@SwissHttp All iPhones since the iPhone 3GS have used full disk encryption. Apple was defeating that security by extracting data. - Show replies
